Where are you located?
I’m located in Scarsdale VIC, just near Ballarat. We are about 1.5 hours from Melbourne, or from Geelong or from Warrnambool. The perfect location really!
What type of portraits do you do?
I specialise in photographing women, of all ages, in a contemporary magazine style. I want to help you celebrate being you! You deserve to experience a styled photoshoot where you are the star!
How much are your photographs?
Photographs start at $295 per image if purchased singly. Collections of photographs are available is quantities of six, ten or twenty photographs. These folio collections start at $1,720.
What does the Sitting Fee cover?
A sitting fee of $375 is required to secure your appointment for any type of photoshoot. This fee covers the pre-photoshoot planning + styling consultation, styled photoshoot time, post-processing and your viewing appointment. Sitting fees do not include any prints, digitals or products. Prints and products are available for purchase separately. Hair and makeup is provided complimentary.
Why do you charge so much?

- I have a self-development philosophy where I undertake regular training, seminars and workshops etc to keep abreast of industry trends and expectations.
- I have professional level equipment.
- I have a legitimate business with insurance.
- I have my photographs printed on archival quality papers with archival quality inks to industry standards.
- I am providing a bespoke portrait photography experience for you.
- I have about 20 year’s photography experience.
- I believe in providing the best possible service and experience for my clients.
- I will spend as much time as it takes to get fabulous photographs of you – you are worth it.
- I believe you get what you pay for and I’m providing a legacy product for you and your family to enjoy for the years to come.
Can I do my own hair and makeup?
Yes of course you can do your own hair and makeup. We would really love for you to experience a ‘pampering’ session, all about you, with our professional hair and makeup artist and our professional photographer. So, we do encourage you to enjoy this complimentary service on us!
If I do my own hair and makeup can I get a reduced sitting fee?
No. Hair and makeup is provided complimentary. So sit back relax and indulge in being treated like a movie star for the day!
If I cancel, is my sitting fee refundable?
If you give us 48 hours+ notice that you cannot attend your scheduled photoshoot, then we can reschedule you for another date. We are happy to do this once for you. If you cancel on the date of your photoshoot, we unfortunately cannot refund your sitting fee, as Hair and Make Up Artists’ (and possibly other suppliers) have been booked, any they have cancellation fees.
Can I just get the digital file?
Digital files are included with all printed photographs. You will receive a printed photograph displayed in a ‘window matt’ and the matching electronic file, at the same size as the printed image, for all images that you purchase.
How long will my photoshoot take?
Having your hair professionally styled can take about 45 minutes, and about the same for your professional Make up. Once your hair and makeup has been done, we’ll get you into wardrobe and dressed for your photoshoot. I like to allow at least 90 minutes for the actual photoshoot. If we are including your horse (or other pet/fur baby) then it is best to allow 3 hours for the actual photoshoot. This will allow plenty of time to do your photos as well as photos with your pet. Sometimes animals need time to settle into what is happening around them, and they cannot be rushed. So it is best to put aside a day so you can relax and really enjoy your photoshoot without any distractions.
Can you come to my place?
Yes. Especially if you are wanting to include your loved pets. I find they are best kept in their ‘usual’ environment to keep their behaviour manageable.
I will do everything I can to ensure that we can include your pet in the photographs, but at the end of the day, I cannot be held responsible for the behaviour of your pet. The photoshoot will go ahead regardless.
I have a fully mobile photography studio complete with portable backdrops and portable studio lights.
Can I just buy one image?
Absolutely. There is no pressure to buy photographs. Photographs are available al a carte, or in folio collections. They are cheaper when purchased in a collection. Al a carte images start at $295 each. I aim to take fabulous portraits of you so you will want to buy them all!
I just want one image for social media and branding.
That’s great. We can certainly do that for you. If you just want one image in one outfit, then the cost is $375 for the sitting fee and one image al a carte at $295, total for one photograph with digital file is $670.
I don’t know how to be photographed!
You don’t have to know how to stand or pose. I will guide you through everything that you need to do to make your photoshoot a success. I tell you where to put your hands, how to stand, how and when to smile etc. I am experienced in photographing a wide range of body types and different ages etc, so I’m confident that together we will have fun and create beautiful images of you (and your family) to treasure for years to come.
I don’t have anything to wear!
The more effort you put into preparing for your photoshoot, the better the outcome you are going to experience. Perhaps it could be the perfect time to treat yourself to a new outfit, or borrow one from family or a friend. I have a shooting wardrobe comprising different colored and various size outfits that we can incorporate with your own clothing. I’ve also found a fabulous company that hires out gorgeous clothes. Do you photograph men?
Sure do.
I would like a family portrait, do you do that?
Yes I can. You would arrive first, have your hair and makeup done, we’d do your photoshoot, and then, towards the end of that, your partner and/or children can come in and be part of a family portrait.
When do I get to view my photographs?
About one week after the photoshoot, you will come back into the studio and we’ll go through your photographs together. You can choose to buy one image or buy them all!
